Job Description:

Business Development Manager

Job Description:

1- Provide detailed analysis on potential new markets the company could enter Egypt. This could include new commodities to handle and new opportunities.
2- Constantly review and have up-to-date knowledge of the local market place for a wide range of current and targeted commodities and key customers.
3- Identify and recommend potential activities, sales and or expansion opportunities to further the growth and enhance the reputation of the company.
4- Work closely with the Operations Manager and the Country Manager to constantly review all in-country operational protocols, ensuring that they are fully aligned to the company’s policy and overarching procedures. Suggest improvements and efficiencies where identified.
5- Assist with the negotiation of prices and terms and conditions with each prospective customer.
6- Interact on a continual basis with key customers with a view to further shipments, new locations, expansion into new operations, etc. and keep all the appropriate staff informed.

Job Requirements:

1- 6-10 years of experience (at least 3-4 years in commodities).
2- Have up-to-date knowledge of the local market place and key customers.
3- Alexandria or Cairo Resident.

Job description:

• Responsibility for the procurement of capital goods during the construction phase and the local procurement and logistics management.
• Organize, manage and control all procurement activities in terms of capital goods, chemicals and packaging.
• Establish and maintain procurement procedures (incl. IT)and logistic processes for the local company in cooperation and alignment with headquarters.

• Manage in close coordination national and international contracts in alignment with legal requirements.

Job Description:

– Follow the process related to the import/export of goods
– Ensure data entry of the incoming shipment on the system
– Negotiate offers with brokers and evaluate them in order to get the best package and the best service.
– Revise the documents for all incoming shipments from the – Sales department in order to prepare the shipment of the goods.
– Coordinate with the Sales & Commercial Assistant the reception of the original shipping documents from the suppliers, whether directly or through the bank, before the vessel arrival.
– Follow-up with the custom clearing agent for the clearing of the goods.
– Inform the logistic coordinator of any deviation in order to take action and investigate with the possibility to fill a claim.
– Inspect the goods when it’s received in the warehouses.
– Improve the process by proposing amelioration and reduce cost by reducing overtime and extra charges.
– Prepare the following reports: Summary of clearance status of ongoing orders and lead time of all incoming shipments.
– Organize continuous follow up on employees in the warehouse to make sure the process is fully applied.
– Document and escalate any customer service issues and/or shipping/receiving errors.


– Bachelor degree or higher in Business or equivalent
– 3 – 4 years of experience in logistics
– ERP user is a must.
