About the Job
As a Category Marketing Manager, you will play a central role in shaping the company’s market presence through thoughtful planning, deep consumer understanding, and cross-functional leadership. You will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies that strengthen market share, boost profitability, and support long-term business objectives.
Your work will start with a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape. This includes conducting thorough market research, analyzing competitors, and identifying evolving consumer trends. Using these insights, you will define category strategies that address unmet consumer needs, unlock new opportunities, and give the company a stronger position in existing and emerging segments.
A key part of the role involves overseeing the full product portfolio. You will ensure that every product within the category aligns with business goals, supports the brand identity, and meets market demands. This includes collaborating closely with R&D teams on innovation projects and new product development, as well as working with supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations from concept to shelf.
In addition, you will be entrusted with building and executing effective pricing, promotions, and assortment strategies. These decisions will be based on comprehensive data-driven insights and combined with a deep understanding of customers’ buying behaviors. Your ability to balance commercial objectives with consumer value will be crucial in driving category performance.
The role requires continuous performance tracking. You will monitor brand and category KPIs, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and make real-time adjustments to ensure that strategies remain relevant and results-oriented. Working closely with sales and trade marketing teams, you will ensure that category plans are implemented consistently across all channels.
Another core responsibility is designing and executing integrated marketing campaigns. This includes planning promotional activities, developing in-store activations, and ensuring smooth execution across both digital and traditional platforms. Your creativity and understanding of consumer engagement will be essential in developing campaigns that stand out and deliver measurable results.
Financial management is also part of the role. You will manage the category’s P&L and continuously seek opportunities to optimize profitability and cost efficiency. Strong analytical skills will be crucial as you monitor budgets, evaluate return on investment, and use SAP ERP systems for accurate forecasting and reporting.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.

7–10 years of proven experience in marketing, preferably within FMCG or food production.
